The business is looking for an experienced Quality Inspector for a major, long-term project. The ideal candidate will have proven Quality Inspector, Quality Engineer, Quality Technician or Quality Control experience.
You will be responsible for overseeing production processes, to ensure that the quality of the end product meets the required standards. You will collaborate with the Production, Finishing and Despatch departments to conduct inspections before products are despatched to site. You will ensure that any defects or improvements are identified and communicated.
Quality Inspector Salary, Hours, and Benefits
£31,000 - £33,000 (dependant on what hours you do)
40 hours per week. There are two shifts available, days or afternoons 10:00am – 8:15pm

RESPONSIBILITIES
Support New Product Introduction (NPI): Assist in the successful launch of new products, ensuring smooth transitions from design to production.
Handle the ordering and monitoring of tooling, ensuring availability and readiness for production.
Tool Trials and Approvals
Create and maintain flow diagrams for product routes, ensuring accurate documentation of processes.
Develop and implement control plans for production parts, ensuring consistent quality.
Train operators on new methods, tooling, and fixtures, particularly for the introduction of new products.
Obtain and review budgetary quotes for tooling and equipment to ensure cost-effectiveness.
Lead and participate in lean manufacturing initiatives, such as SMED, 5S, and other continuous improvement projects.
