RESPONSIBILITIES
Repair, refurbish, and manufacture tooling to achieve maximum production efficiency.
Work independently and manage tasks with minimal supervision.
Interpret and work from engineering drawings.
General machining and bench hand skills are essential.
Knowledge of CNC machinery and wire erosion is a plus.
Maintain the highest standards of housekeeping in the tool room.
REQUIREMENTS
Apprentice trained
Experience in an extrusion or mould shop environment, or pressings is happily considered
CNC knowledge would be helpful, though not essential
Happy to work 12-hour DAY shift pattern

Duties of a Maintenance Manager
As Maintenance Manager you will lead a multi-disciplined team of technicians to ensure each build is completed on time, within budget and that its handed over to the customer with complete satisfaction.

Requirements of a Maintenance Manager
Have a proven background in leading a maintenance team within a special purpose machine / machine build or lean manufacturing environment. Where you have had direct responsibility for plant performance, achieving targets, process development, mentoring staff, setting and monitoring KPI’s and managing critical projects.
You will ideally be qualified to a HNC standard.
Hold either ILM or NEBSM accreditation.

Role Overview
The Production Engineer / Manufacturing Engineer will report to the Engineering Manager - the role is to support, grow and continuously improve the manufacture of world class products.
You will be a critical part of a team in developing new methods of manufacture for machining of internal components to drawings specifications.
The Production Engineer will be required to work closely with the Engineering, Quality and Manufacturing teams to influence the design for manufacture on existing products and NPI.
Key elements for the role will be NPI, customer liaison for NPI to include APQP, PPAP activities.
Knowledge of designing jigs & fixtures, tooling, create work instructions, improve product flow is essential.
A proven track record within a Production Engineer or / Manufacturing Engineer role.
Strong knowledge of machining techniques, working with manual & CNC machine tools - specifically CNC Turning (knowledge of Mazak controls is desirable but isn’t essential).
A good knowledge of castings & cutting tools.
Able to work under own initiative, and as part of a team.
Other Useful Experience

Experience of time measurement and analysis of lost time.
Communicating and presenting data effectively.
Familiar with Quality Systems / PPAP & Environmental Issues.
