Role Overview
Due to continued growth, the business is looking for an experienced Electronics Engineer to join their established team on a full-time permanent basis. This is an important position within the R&D team, and you will be key in driving the development of new products from initial design, through to production and post-production maintenance.
Degree qualified in electronics or similar engineering subject.
5+ years’ commercial experience in electronic design, ideally within audio electronics.
The Electronics Engineer will ideally have audio experience working with ADC/DAC (Analogue/Digital Converters) and associated components, Op-amps etc.
High speed digital electronics experience, working with microcontrollers, DSPs etc.
PCB layout and design experience.
A guitar or bass player of any experience level is preferred but isn’t essential.
Electronics Engineer Key Responsibilities
Project lead and design of system architecture.
Responsible for all research and full development, through full life cycle, of assigned projects.
Contributing towards new innovative design ideas to drive the company technology forward.
Undertaking the building and testing of electronic prototypes.
Brainstorming new product ideas and technical requirements/ specifications.
Communicating with UK and overseas teams on project-specific topics.
Assisting other day-to day technical activities of the R&D department.
Possible, infrequent overseas travel as required – this is not essential, however can be an exciting opportunity for an engineer to broaden their knowledge and experience.
Probe Technical are looking to recruit a full time and permanent Maintenance Electrician to join an experienced and dedicated Engineering team near Corby on a double days shift, working Monday - Friday, 06.00-14.00 and 14:00 - 22:00. This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to utilise their engineering skills and join a privately owned global business. As well as being focused on continuous improvement and implementing specific products, you will also be responsible for maintaining the upkeep of the buildings and grounds areas of the plant facility.
The package details for the role of Maintenance Electrician include the below and further at interview:
Salary up to £48,000 depending on experience (including shift allowance)
40 hours per week, Monday - Friday, 06:00 - 14:00 and 14:00 - 22:00
3% paid via salary sacrifice, saving you tax and NI contributions
20 days plus bank holidays, rising to 25 plus bank holidays after 5 years’ service
Death in service benefit – 2 x annual salary
You would qualify for the annual pay review this and every January
Along with a minimum NVQ Level 3 or higher in Engineering Maintenance or equivalent, as a Maintenance Electrician you will be required to have experience/further education in engineering. Experience of PLC systems for fault finding and minor programming modifications. Experience using and installing Variable Speed Drives VSD’s within an FMCG environment is beneficial.
Other key duties involve:
Maintenance of plant and equipment.
Identifying, diagnosing and fixing faults and breakdowns.
Carrying out of planned Preventative Maintenance.
Facilitating and executing continuous improvement activities.

Probe Technical are looking to recruit a full time and permanent Technical Maintenance Engineer to join an experienced and dedicated Engineering Team near Banbury on days Monday – Friday. The package details for the role of Technical Maintenance Engineer include:
Salary up to £56,000 depending on experience.
40 hours per week, Monday – Friday days 8.30am – 4.30pm

Annual Salary Reviews – an annual pay review is conducted every January.
Holiday – 23 days plus bank holidays, rising to 25 plus bank holidays after 5 years’ service.
This role has been called a Technical Maintenance Engineer as your main duty is to support the site Engineering Manager. You must be an Apprentice trained Electrical Engineer with Mechanical & Electronical / PLC skills with 17th / 18th Edition qualification.
Other key duties involve:
Support the day-to-day maintenance of the site and to assist the Engineering Manager with co-ordinating the safe and efficient operations of the site in accordance with health and safety and legislative requirements.
To carry out risk assessments of routine maintenance procedures and unplanned works.
Supporting shift engineers with day to day challenging tasks and looking to resolve in a timely, effective manner
Assisting with maintaining the stores and the correct critical spares are kept in stock, and ensuring replacement of parts as required at all times.
Must be competent in both electrical and mechanical principles
Must be able to use PLC Control and understand machine data networks
Must be able to read mechanical and electrical schematic diagram
