Duties of an Maintenance Technician 

As a proven Maintenance Technician you will be required to undertake both planned and reactive maintenance across our plant, that will see you supporting production plant and equipment. 

Requirements of an Maintenance Technician

Ideally you will be apprentice trained but must be qualified Electrically and ideally have some understanding of Plc Controls, allied to have previous experience of supporting plant and equipment within a manufacturing, process or production environment.


The role is commutable from Aldridge, Hednesford, Brownhills, Lichfield, Shenstone & Tamworth

The successful candidate will manage the calibration of all inspection equipment and the control of the issuance and receipts of all gauges.

Key Duties for the Calibration Engineer:

Requirements of the Calibration Engineer: 

To excel in this role, you must meet the following criteria: 

  • Minimum Engineering Apprentice trained NVQ3 
  • Proficiency in using calibration equipment and understanding measurement standards is crucial.
  • Experience in calibration labs, testing, or related sectors is highly valuable.
  • Proficiency in using calibration equipment and understanding measurement standards is crucial.
  • Knowledge of relevant industry standards ISO9001.
  • Experience with calibration development tools and software is beneficial.

I have a fantastic opportunity for multi-skilled maintenance engineer to join a heavy, high-volume production site in Bilston near Wolverhampton. My client is well established within its field and produces some big brand products for the likes of Screwfix, B&Q and Wickes. In this role you will be in charge of all planned and preventive maintenance on site. 

This position would be ideal for someone with plant maintenance skills and a good knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics. You will be working a day’s only shift pattern (see below), and you will be paid a lifestyle bonus of £47 for every weekend day worked (excluding overtime). This will take your salary to around £51,074. 

Maintenance Engineer Benefits:

  • This is a fitter role for the rigs not the factory, so previous experience is needed in heavy plant/ construction equipment. 
  • Although this role is not a mobile fitter role, they will be expected to go out to sites to attend breakdowns and general repairs, so need to have a driving licence. 
  • Experience with JCB’s and CAT

We are seeking to recruit a proven Maintenance Engineer (Shift Engineer) to join a busy fast paced manufacturing plant that supply globally. You will be based on site working a 3-shift system and there will be an induction phase of up to 2 months where you will be working morning and afternoons rotation until familiar with the site. The goal is to continue the shift from a reactive approach (fixing problems as they occur) to a proactive one (preventing problems before they happen).
