Position Overview:

As a Permanent Night Shift Maintenance Engineer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the ongoing operational efficiency and reliability of our facilities and equipment. This is a hands-on position that requires a solid foundation in mechanical maintenance.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular maintenance, inspections and repairs on machinery, equipment and facilities.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, hydraulic & pneumatic issues to determine appropriate solutions.
  • Collaborate with the night shift team to address urgent maintenance requirements and minimize downtime.
  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks to ensure optimal functionality and extend the lifespan of equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work done, parts used, and time spent.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and company standards at all times.


Duties of a Maintenance Engineer

Duties of a Maintenance Fabricator Welder 

  • Working as part of the site maintenance team you will be required to undertake welding and fabrication tasks throughout our plant (this isn’t a production welding role).

Requirements of a Maintenance Fabricator Welder

  • Ideally you will have completed either a modern or advanced modern apprenticeship but must hold formal welding & fabrication qualifications. 
  • You will ideally be competent in undertaking a number of welding applications i.e. Tig, Mig, Stick, Arc & Gas or Oxy, working with a range of materials such as Steel, Mild Steel and Stainless and have the ability to read an interpret drawings. 
  • You must also have site based experience, ideally as part of a plant maintenance team where you have undertaken a wide variety of “maintenance” oriented fabrication and welding tasks which ultimately ensures that plant continues to operate and safety guarding is kept up to spec.
