Quality Inspector Resposibilities:

  • First off and Patrol inspection
  • Contribute to continuous improvements
  • Final view inspection
  • Record and maintain inspection and test records
  • First article inspection reports
  • Support with internal audits
  • Happy to work shifts

Quality Inspector SKills Requirements:

  • Relevant Quality Experience within Quality Inspection
  • To have the ability to read engineering drawings
  • Relevant experience with uses of inspection equipment such as micrometers and verniers
  • Use of CMM would be beneficial but not essential
  • NDT Testing, again, advantageous but not essential as training can be offered
  • Strong work ethic, motivated and keen
  • Enthusiastic to broaden your knowledge and experience
  • A flexible and adaptable approach

The business is looking for an experienced Quality Inspector for a major, long-term project. The ideal candidate will have proven Quality Inspector, Quality Engineer, Quality Technician or Quality Control experience. 

You will be responsible for overseeing production processes, to ensure that the quality of the end product meets the required standards. You will collaborate with the Production, Finishing and Despatch departments to conduct inspections before products are despatched to site. You will ensure that any defects or improvements are identified and communicated.


Quality Inspector Salary, Hours, and Benefits

  • £31,000 - £33,000 (dependant on what hours you do)

Quality Inspector Candidate Requirements

  • Proven Quality experience.
  • The environment is always changing, so you have to be adaptable. 
  • IT literate – an amount of time will be spent transferring data into the system.
  • A good communicator – confident enough to challenge individuals. 
  • UK Driving license as the site is not easy to get to via public transport.


Quality Inspector Key Responsibilities

  • Engage production teams in quality management processes and drive a continuous improvement culture.
  • Inspection of product at all stages of production in accordance with the Inspection Test Plan.
  • Identification of defects, non-conformance and opportunities for improvement within the production processes. Assistance in root cause analysis and corrective action activities.

  • The business is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Quality Control Manager to join a well-established manufacturing team. This is a standalone role, with no direct reports.
  • You will be responsible for ensuring quality control, implementing improvements and maintaining compliance.


Quality Control Manager Candidate Requirements

  • Proven experience as a hands-on Quality Engineer / Quality Control Manager, working to the quality principles of ISO 9001.
  • Familiarity with APQP, PPAP, ISIR, DPU and experience of these methodologies in a manufacturing environment are highly desirable.

  • Monitor the production cycle and report on malfunctions.
  • Inspect procedures for the production cycle and ensure their efficiency and compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Approve or reject raw materials with respect to quality standards, recording supplier performance.
  • Maintain records of testing, information and metrics. 
  • Develop, document and maintain a thorough network of Standard Operating Procedures.

CMM Programmer Candidate Requirements

  • It is essential that the CMM Programmer has Mitutoyo machines experience.
  • Proficiency with MCOSMOS programming system.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and blueprints.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Experience in machining and assembly of components industries is preferred.


CMM Programmer Key Responsibilities

  • The CMM Programmer will develop and execute CMM programs using the MCOSMOS software.
  • Perform precise measurements and inspections of components using Mitutoyo CMM equipment.
  • Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to ensure accurate measurements.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and calibration of CMM equipment.
  • Analyse measurement data and generate detailed inspection reports.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve quality issues.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Enhance the Quality Management System (QMS) by identifying gaps, assessing opportunities for improvement, and coordinating corrective action planning and execution.
  • Lead the accreditation process for BS EN 9001, AS9100, and ISO 14001 standards, ensuring that all required documentation is complete and up to date.
  • Conduct internal audits to evaluate compliance and identify areas for process improvement.
  • Ensure full legal compliance with regulatory requirements relevant to operational facilities.
  • Actively promote adherence to Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) policies, fostering a culture of compliance.
  • Oversee compliance processes and maintain effective reporting systems.

  • A WAMITAB qualification is desirable, but not essential.
  • Good knowledge of EN 9001, AS9100 and or ISO14001

  • Ideally, we are looking for a Qualification Maintenance Engineer – Qualified Electrically and ideally mechanically – Hold formal qualifications – Level 3

New exciting opportunity to join a Global Manufacturing organisation based in Greater Manchester Area.  This is an exceptional opportunity for a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join an already established maintenance team. 

The Maintenance Engineers position is commutable from the following locations: Warrington / Skelmersdale / Bolton / Wigan 

Shift the maintenance engineer will be required to work Shift Pattern 4 on 4 off - 2 x 12 hr days & 2 x 12hr nights, 5 * 18-day breaks fixed

The maintenance engineer will be responsible and hold the following experience:  

  • Maintain and install all mechanical plant & machinery in line with company requirements.
  • React quickly, diagnose & repair any mechanical related problems on the plant or equipment.
  • Carry out our planned preventative maintenance schedule on the full range of equipment within the site .
  • Ensure that all plant and machinery is kept in a good, safe working & clean condition.
  • Complete all relevant paperwork associated with the task being performed in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Carry out daily inspections as requested related to safety, air, steam and water leaks and complete repairs as necessary.
  • Report any problems regarding equipment and machinery immediately to the Engineering Team Leader.
  • Ensure that you are aware of the Company Health, Safety and Environmental policies and procedures and that you always adhere to them.
  • Complete Maintenance work orders, use of a CMMS system, Agility or similar
  • Experience with pneumatic & hydraulic equipment & systems
  • Knowledge of high-pressure steam boilers and systems
  • Welding skills such as MMA, TIG, MIG
  • General workshop skills, tools, lathe, milling etc.
  • Able to read schematic drawings
  • Some multi skilling would be advantageous
  • Ideally you will be Apprentice trained holding a HNC / City & guilds Level 3 in Mechanical engineering.
