As Health, Safety and Environmental Manager, you will be tasked with ensuring the effectiveness of the EHS Department

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Promote EHS on site
  • Ensure all policies and procedures are developed and maintained
  • Management of 45001 and 14001
  • Accident and incident investigations
  • Review audit requirements
  • Keep up to date with legislation

  • Organise HSE training sessions
  • Act as Fire Safety Officer on site

REQUIREMENTS

  • It is essential that you have relevant Health, Safety and Environmental experience from within a manufacturing environment
  • Your experience needs to be UK based
  • Previous experience of Risk Assessments including COSHH
  • Knowledge of a COMAH site would be highly desirable
  • Essential that you have 45001 and 14001 experience
  • NEBOSH level 3
  • IOSH managing safely
  • Lead Auditor

Specific Role & Responsibilities for Project Engineer:

  • Using a variety of CAM packages (to make it easy to learn this companies bespoke made CAM packages) to create/implement and maintain programs for use on various manufacturing processes.
  • Using Creao (ProEngineer) to interrogate models to produce programs for complex machined profiles on milling, turning and turn/mill machines for CNC Programming.
  • Ensure routings are easy to understand, accurate and operational. (Training to estimate cost of products to help build this knowledge will be provided) 
  • Assist compiling machine time for quoting new work.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • HNC OR APPRENTICESHIP PREFERRED IN INDUSTRIAL EXPERIENCE (HOWEVER TIME SERVED AS A CNC PROGRAMMER CAN SUBSTITUTE THIS)

Required Skills:

  • Understand machine and process protocols for the likes of Fanuc/Okuma/Mazak/Mitishibishi or similar and have been a CNC Programmer operating these.
  • Ability to validate created and existing software programs and potential modify them for continuous improvement purposes.
  • Demonstrate understanding of processes from primary forming to realisation of end of product.

Preferred Skills for a CNC Programmer:

  • Previously held a similar role.
  • Proven track record in ability to use computers and design software. 
  • Excellent understanding of engineering drawings, geometrical tolerancing and dimensioning.
  • Understanding of engineer tooling required to produce components. 
  • Tools, cutters, inserts and workholding methodology.
  • Material understanding, Stainless steel, Inconel, super duplex and titanium.

Role Overview

This important role requires a committed individual who will gain a thorough understanding of the company products, Supply Chain and Operations. Warehouse Manager Candidate Requirements – but not limited to

  • The Warehouse Manager will have previous experience from a similar role with some leadership experience.
  • Previous experience with a manufacturing environment would be highly advantageous.
  • You will be IT literate - ERP systems experience will be at advantage.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support New Product Introduction (NPI): Assist in the successful launch of new products, ensuring smooth transitions from design to production.

About You

You will be a process led, diligent CNC Programmer / Engineer, with an eye for quality and detail as well as good background skills in workload management and communication.

Able to demonstrate experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in a similar environment or industry. An ability to work and resolve issues within the production environment, quickly and accurately is a must.

Candidate Requirements

  • An experienced Machinist with CNC (VMC/Milling) programming ability.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of programming, setting and operating 3 axis CNC cutting machines.
  • Autodesk Fusion 360 programming software experience would be useful.
  • Working experience working within a tool room / plant and equipment maintenance environment.
  • Good knowledge and practical understanding of mechanical engineering applications in product assembly, jigs and fixtures, plant and equipment.
  • Able to read and interpret engineering drawings, machining and finish specifications. PC skills and experience of packages such as Excel and Standard Analyses: Nav, Creo, Windchill, DXF, Cad viewing packages. 
  • Be able to use and operate a wide range of manual machines such as millers, grinders, saws etc.
  • MIG/TIG welding experience in the workplace.
  • Experience of contributing to small group activities to drive improvement ideas. 


Role Overview

  • The CNC Programmer will programme, set and operate a variety of 3 axis CNC Machines for component and fixturing manufacture and assembly.
  • As part of a small in-house team, the CNC Programmer will play an equal part supporting production with modified or bespoke machined components made from a variety of materials from nylon through to stainless steel, as well as working on longer term continuous improvement projects that require machined content (i.e. tooling, fixturing etc).
  • Reporting into the Manufacturing Engineering Manager, the CNC Programmer will work cross functionally with Production Leadership, Planning and Manufacturing Engineering teams to ensure production requirements for short turn-around components are met. 
  • You will work within the Tool room / Plant Maintenance function, in addition supporting the wider production operation in areas such as jigs and fixture repair, equipment maintenance and prototyping.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Creating CMM programs, utilising PC-DIMIS
  • Evaluate measurement data
  • Daily planning and scheduling of metrology workloads
  • Conduct and complete set ups, measurements and interpretations for part investigations
  • Creating measurement programs for CMM with or without CAD model
  • Drawing up initial sample test reports as per the VDA and PPAP template
  • Calibration of gauges, maintain measuring equipment
  • Re-qualification inspections
  • SPC

REQUIREMENTS

  • It is essential that you have relevant CMM Programming experience
  • Ideally PC-DMIS
  • Any QUINDOS knowledge would be advantageous, but not essential
  • To have gained your experience from within a manufacturing environment
  • Good working knowledge of PPAP’s and SPC
  • Good level of IT Literacy

The Maintenance Engineer’s position is commutable from the following locations: Hyde / Manchester / Ashton-under-Lyne / Salford / Stretford / Denton 


The Maintenance Engineer will be required to work the following shift: 

  • Days: Sunday 8am till 16:30 / Monday 6am till 6:30pm / Tuesday 6am till 6:30pm / Thursday 8am till 6:30pm 
  • Off Days: Wednesday / Friday / Saturday.

Duties and requirements the Maintenance engineer will hold and be responsible for: 

  • Previous experience within a Heavy Manufacturing Environment 
  • Proven experience within a Similar Role, Conducting Mechanical repairs 
  • Experience with Hydraulics & Pneumatics, Gearboxes, Conveyor systems, Granulators, Lifting equipment.  
  • Welding and Fabrication abilities
  • Carry out essential maintenance on all aspects of the production lines.
  • Work through a programme of PPM and helping develop the agility maintenance system.
  • Improve factory OEE through development and innovation of the production facility.
  • Order and Collect Spare Mechanical materials.
  • Maintain and monitor the machines and Equipment. 
  • Ensure that all plant and machinery s kept in good working condition. 

Qualification the Maintenance Engineer will hold: 

  • Apprenticeship Trained 
  • BTEC ONC & BTEC HNC Mechanical engineering
