As Health, Safety and Environmental Manager, you will be tasked with ensuring the effectiveness of the EHS Department

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Promote EHS on site
  • Ensure all policies and procedures are developed and maintained
  • Management of 45001 and 14001
  • Accident and incident investigations
  • Review audit requirements
  • Keep up to date with legislation
  • Manage legislation register
  • Organise HSE training sessions
  • Act as Fire Safety Officer on site
  • Manage COSHH assessments
  • Process hazard assessments, HAZID, HAZOP, LOPA and HFA

REQUIREMENTS

  • It is essential that you have relevant Health, Safety and Environmental experience from within a manufacturing environment
  • Your experience needs to be UK based
  • Previous experience of Risk Assessments including COSHH
  • Knowledge of a COMAH site would be highly desirable
  • Essential that you have 45001 and 14001 experience
  • NEBOSH level 3
  • IOSH managing safely
  • Lead Auditor

Role Purpose

The Manufacturing Engineering Manager will be responsible for overseeing the Manufacturing Engineering Team activities and developing capabilities to meet the needs of the business. 

Reporting to the Head of Manufacturing, this role will play a key role in establishing a global network of efficient and high-quality manufacturing facilities that can leverage the advantages of being close to the market. 

You will be an excellent communicator who is driven and committed to quality and continuous improvement, very much production minded.


Manufacturing Engineering Manager Candidate Requirements

  • The Manufacturing Engineering Manager will ideally have a demonstrable background from an Automation environment.
  • A proven background in driving improvements on the shopfloor.
  • Natural leader and change manager.
  • 5+ years experience leading a Manufacturing Engineering / Operations Excellence team.
  • Intimate knowledge and experience with implementing lean methodology, ideally formal lean training e.g. Lean six Sigma.
  • Must be an excellent collaborator working closely with your peer group, along with being an excellent communicator, capable of engaging with individuals one-on-one, communicating in a clear and concise manner and share information/new ideas with team members.
  • Ability to - dive deep into processes and drive results; to take on any task thrown your way, with hunger to continuously learn and develop; to meet tight deadlines and balance multiple, competing priorities.
  • Expert in use and set up of Enterprise Resource Planning systems.
  • Comfortable working in a high-pressure environment, in an agile and dynamic way to tackle unexpected & emerging issues.


Manufacturing Engineering Manager Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse current working methods implementing key KPI’s and implement improvements to improve the efficiency and quality of company processes.
  • Lead and support improvement projects, through effective change management. From minor changes through to Capex justification and commissioning of transformational changes.
  • To instil a continuous improvement mindset, appropriately train team members on key tools and techniques to drive CI.
  • Work closely with the manufacturing leaders to coach appropriate problem-solving tools and preventative actions.
  • Review current processes and ways of working to identify areas of improvement, gathering feedback and data from all internal stakeholders.
  • Work cross functionally to develop the site layout plans, value streams layout, organisation and standardisation plans to support our growth ambitions.
  • Support the reduction in overall manufacturing costs through best practice standardisation and operational development.
  • Provide mentoring and leadership to your team members.
  • Develop close relationships with other key internal functional areas.

Probe Technical are looking to recruit a full time and permanent Production Supervisor to join a market leading Manufacturing facility. We are looking for someone with previous supervisory responsibility. In the past working within a team of Production Operatives and Line Operatives guaranteeing that production activities are completed accurately, and to the required standards of quality, and health and safety. This is an excellent time to join due to business growth.   

You must be flexible to work 12-hour shifts, covering days and nights.

We are looking for somebody who is responsible for maximising the output of quality product from the moulding areas. Maintaining the moulding areas at the required efficiencies and achieving targets set. The company has 2 shifts on offer, a Morning 6am – 2pm and an Afternoon 2pm – 10pm. 

The benefits package for the Injection Mould Setter role include:

  • Level 1 salary starts at £30,697.81 per annum through to Level 3, which is £33,844.33 per annum, plus £667.95 per annum for the Afternoon shift.
