PROJECT ENGINEER

Job Description

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Project Engineer to join a world leading engineering manufacturer, with over 45 years of experience. You will be working on technically complex products and assemblies for flagship UK projects and programs.

The Project Engineer will be the primary technical lead of designated projects. You will be the point of contact with the customer and will ensure that designated projects are delivered on time, right first time and within cost targets. This will be achieved through strong technical leadership, liaising with all other business functions to ensure manufacturing best practice is embedded throughout the project.


Salary, Hours and Benefits

  • £45,000 - £50,000 (negotiable for the right candidate)
  • 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday. 7:30am – 4:30pm, 2:00pm finish on Friday’s
  • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays

Project Engineer Candidate Requirements
Please Note: Due to the security level of the projects the business work on, British Nationality is required for this role.

  • Project Engineer experience within a precision engineering business in a regulated industry
  • Qualified to HNC level minimum - someone who is Apprentice Trained would be ideal. 
  • You will have a precision engineering background, exposure to machining - someone with previous hands-on machining experience would be perfect
  • Experience of manufacturing routings
  • Able to understand and interpret complex engineering drawings
  • Good working knowledge of Project Management methodologies
  • Demonstrable experience of defining methods of manufacture for complex products and assemblies.
  • CAD/CAM experience in a relevant software package would be an advantage
  • Competence in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and Project

Production Operative Candidate Requirements

  • 3 Years + experience in a manufacturing role

Production Operative Key Responsibilities (but not limited to)

  • The Production Operative will use tools to assemble parts or components to build products.
  • Transfer goods safely to the correct location, physically moving items to the appropriate work area in a prompt, safe, and efficient manner.
  • Participate in the transfer of goods between manufacturing sites.
  • Ensure that all goods picked are of the correct quantity, and of acceptable quality as defined by the Quality Control procedures.
  • Transfer goods safely to the correct location and process these promptly and correctly via the ERP system.
  • Reference documentation such as drawings and BoM’s.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of processes and quality.
  • Adherence to all health and safety requirements.

Role Overview

The Stores Supervisor will oversee order processing and coordinate the daily warehousing activities, including responsibilities across Despatch. You will implement production, productivity, quality and customer service standards and continuing to ensure that daily operations meet and exceed daily performance. 


Stores Supervisor Essential Requirements

  • Must be able to demonstrate experience working in a highly pressurised environment - the business is looking for this person to be able to identify, raise and offer solutions
  • Proven and demonstrable Supervisory experience, you will have the ability to direct and coordinate operations

  • It is essential that you can demonstrate day-to-day manufacturing accounts experience or Production Accounting experience
  • You will be a fully qualified Accountant - CIMA or ACCA

RESPONSIBILITIES

As Senior Quality Engineer, you will play a critical role in managing quality processes, leading a team of professionals, and driving improvements in product quality and efficiency. This role requires a strong leader with experience in quality assurance, problem-solving methodologies, and effective communication across teams and with customers.

This is a superb opportunity for a Plant Fitter to join the team on a Morning shift 6am – 2.30pm Monday – Thursday and 6am – 1.30pm on a Friday. The successful candidate will be responsible for the manufacture, modification, maintenance, and repair, of a variety of piling equipment and ancillaries, ensuring that the fleet remains in prime working condition.

Key Duties

  • As a Plant Fitter, your key responsibilities will include:

To excel in this role, you must meet the following criteria: 

  • You must hold a full UK driving licence and a Level 2 qualification in Plant Maintenance or equivalent.
  • This is a fitter role for the rigs not the factory, so previous experience is needed in heavy plant/ construction equipment. 
  • Although this role is not a mobile fitter role, they will be expected to go out to sites to attend breakdowns and general repairs, so need to have a driving licence. 
  • Experience with JCB’s and CAT
  • Welding and fabrication

Probe Technical are looking to recruit a Maintenance Engineer on an early and lates shift. This is an outstanding opportunity to join the UK subsidiary of a large multi-national company. This is a great role for someone who is hands-on, technical, and operational. As part of a top manufacturing group, you will be required to maintain plant and machinery to a high standard through PPM and proactively schedule maintenance works to maximise service levels.

The package details for the role of Maintenance Engineer include:

  • A salary banding that’s negotiable up to £45,000 depending on experience.

  • Have a strong electro / mechanical aptitude and thrive in a fast-paced environment 
  • Can troubleshoot and repair sophisticated machinery (such as electrical, pneumatic or mechanical systems) 
  • Can respond urgently to immediate problems and be disciplined enough to plan routine tasks, future improvements and preventative maintenance 
  • Good understanding of lean manufacturing techniques (such as 5S, Kaizen, TPM, AM & PM).
