IT Support Technician Salary and Benefits

  • £25,000
  • 37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday
  • 23 days holiday, increasing with service, plus statutory, Life Assurance, Profit related pay

IT Support Technician Role Function

The IT Support Technician will support the IT team in providing a comprehensive IT service for the company to enable it to meet its company objectives and business targets.

As IT Support Technician, you’ll be responsible for supporting and maintaining the company's IT network, servers, client devices and security systems, including investigating, diagnosing and resolving network, server, client devices and software problems, collecting IT usage stats, making recommendations for improving the company's IT systems and carrying out routine configuration and installation of IT solutions.

Candidate Requirements

  • Jira Service management or any other ITSM solution.
  • Windows Operating Systems including 7/10/11
  • Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Windows Server 2016/2019/2022
  • Microsoft cloud services: Azure, Entra ID, Microsoft 365, Intune, SharePoint
  • Windows Server roles – DHCP, DNS, Active Directory, File and Print
  • Basic networking experience: Understanding of common network devices: Firewalls, routers, switches, and access points, cabling: Patching to switches and making cables.
  • Methodical approach to investigating issues using tools such as Google, ChatGPT etc.
  • Great people skills with people from diverse backgrounds and IT skills levels.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Reliable and punctual
  • You will have a driving license and access to your own car.

Key Responsibilities (but not limited to)

  • Jira Service Management: Investigating/Diagnosing/Resolving new & existing requests raised, Logging and management of problems/incidents, Upkeep and creation of assets. 
  • Basic end user training.
  • Creation and upkeep of documentation in Confluence.
  • User onboarding and offboard: Creating new users, Assigning rights to relevant software and files, Resetting passwords.
  • 3cx administration: Creation and amendments to extensions, Call log and recording requests, Provisioning desk and soft phones.
  • Installation and configuring new and existing desktops, laptops, mobiles phones and tablets.
  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting software and hardware issues.
  • Repairing and replacing damaged/failed computer and network components.
  • Supporting people whenever they encounter challenges with computers and network devices.
  • To undertake project work as assigned by the IT Management Team.
  • Liaise with 3rd party support.
  • Stock management of IT equipment.

Lead Software Developer Person Specification

  • A technical Degree ideally, anything Software based or similar would stand out.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience within a commercial software environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication skills, building relationships with people at all levels.
  • Strong understanding of software engineering principles, with experience of Agile Scrum/Sprint planning principles.
  • Strong People Management skills with proven experience as a formal Line Manager.

Lead Software Developer Key Responsibilities

Project Manager Salary and Benefits

  • £45,000 - £48,000

The Role

  • The purpose of this role is to manage and coordinate projects and timetables within the company, to ensure all objectives are met, safely within timescale and budget.
  • It would be advantageous if the Project Manager had good working knowledge of electrical and civil engineering.
  • Some of the project work could be for export and therefore may include overseas visits.

Project Manager Person Specification

  • Previous experience in Project / Contract Construction Managing is essential.
  • Educated to HNC or equivalent desirable.
  • Health and Safety qualifications and Knowledge of Risk Assessments and method statements - highly desirable.
  • Current CSCS card holder, i.e. Site Manager would be advantageous.
  • SMSTS card – preferable.
  • London Underground / Network Rail knowledge / previous working experience would be highly advantageous.
  • Must possess excellent organisation and communication skills at all levels.
  • Candidates must hold a full UK Driving Licence.

Project Manager Key Responsibilities

  • Preparation and monitoring of project programming, on site start up, delivery, method statements, risk assessments, completion, testing, O & M manuals, will be responsible for a profit margin on each project.
  • Contact with Sub-Contractors to define and implement plans and projects.
  • Site visits as and when necessary to ensure objectives are being met by others.
  • To monitor, report and update on projects throughout their progress.
 

I am looking to recruit a Maintenance Electrician on an early and lates shift (double days). 

This is an outstanding opportunity to join the UK subsidiary of a large multi-national company. This is a great role for someone who is hands-on, technical, and operational.

As part of a top manufacturing group, as a Maintenance Electrician you will be required to maintain plant and machinery to a high standard through PPM and proactively schedule maintenance works to maximise service levels.

The package details for the role of Maintenance Electrician include:

  • A salary banding that’s negotiable up to £45,000 depending on experience.
  • Company Pension which is a salary sacrifice
  • Holidays starting at 23 and increasing to 28 with service. 

As a Maintenance Electrician this will be a high-pressured environment so the ability to be able to work well under pressure is a pre-requisite of the position, in addition the ideal candidate will be: 

  • PC Literate, good knowledge of Excel / Word / PowerPoint
  • General Maintenance Apprenticeship
  • Have knowledge to read engineering drawings.
  • 17th Edition is desirable.
  • Experience of Mitsubishi & Alan Bradley PLC’s
  • Some basic Welding skills (Arc / Mig) would be beneficial 

The Maintenance Electrician role is commutable from Derby, Nottingham, and Leicester.

As a Maintenance Electrician you will be required to undertake both planned and reactive maintenance across the plant, which will require you to have experience of supporting plant and equipment within either a fast-paced manufacturing, process, food or production environment and be comfortable in undertaking facilities maintenance work too.

Along with a continental shift pattern of 4 days 4 off 4 nights 4 off 6-6, the Maintenance Electrician role also has a package of:

  • Salary £38,000 (hourly rate is £17.50) 
  • Paid Overtime at Premium Rates
  • Company Pension at 3% company and 5% employee 
  • 20 Holiday days 
  • Stable Working Environment.

You must be an Electrically qualified Maintenance Engineer or Maintenance Electrician and hold Electrical abilities and some exposure to supporting PLC controls including Siemens S7.

The role of Maintenance Electrician is commutable from Tamworth, Burton on Trent, Derby and Leicester.
