SITE SERVICES ELECTRICIAN

Probe Technical are looking to recruit a full time and permanent Maintenance Electrician to join an experienced and dedicated Engineering team near Wellingborough on a Monday – Friday day shift with a 37.5-hour week. The ideal candidate will provide both mechanical and electrical service to the Production Department in terms of maintaining machines and site services to achieve minimal downtime as well as reduced engineering costs.

Along with a HNC in electrical or electronic engineering and training in 17th / 18th Edition IEE wiring regulations, or equivalent. Experience of PLC’s (programming and fault-finding), process controls and AC / DC and Servo drives.

Other key duties for the Maintenance Electrician role involve:  

• Undertake work of any kind as directed by the Engineering Supervisor
• Work on both mechanical and electrical plant and carry out installation work.
• Carry out planned preventive maintenance to reduce future unplanned downtime.
• Respond to unplanned breakdowns, ensuring downtime is minimised.
• Undertake facilities maintenance where necessary.
• Supervise sub-contractors where necessary.
