Introduction:
Junior Electronic Engineer
A fast moving and forward-thinking SME, who has grown their annual turnover by £20 Million + in the last 6 years, is now looking to bolster their research and development team with a Graduate or Junior Engineer.
Their products are focused towards safety and security for the Manufacturing and Process Industry sectors and a key element to their success has been down to R&D Innovation within Electronic and Software applications.
Company:
The organisation now has a team of over 150 people who work together to get innovation and product development from concept ideas through to final assembled and tested products in very short lead times, so a Junior Electronic Engineer is required to support this growing process.
Duties:
The primary focus of the role is to support day to day activities within the Electronic and Software team, where a Junior Electronic Engineer is required to assist in the creation of projects and prototypes, write code and test NPD products. The role will also work in close liaison with the Mechanical Engineering Team and other project department teams and staff.
Skills & Experience:
The right candidate for the Junior Electronic Engineering role will ideally have passed a formal qualification in Electronic or Software Engineering within the last 5 years (HNC/HND or DEGREE) and have either gained a year or two in industry or during a placement year.
They should be very familiar with Electronic Hardware / Software Development / Design Techniques and have gained some exposure to: Embedded Electronics, Microcontrollers, PCB’s, PIC’s and Firmware.
