Duties of a Senior Software Developer:

  • As a vital member of our team, you’ll take charge of the full software lifecycle, focusing on programming and software design. 
  • Working with our key clients, you will be required to analyse requirements and craft them into industrial grade software solutions.

Requirements of a Senior Software Developer:

  • A solid foundation in IT, backed by professional experience in software development ideally within industrial automation for the engineering or manufacturing sector.
  • Proficiency in ASP.NET Core, VisiWin and WPF (Windows Presentation Foundation) with hands-on experience in backend programming utilising C#.
  • Familiarity with Plc controls and SCADA applications.
  • Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.
  • A knack for technical problem-solving.
  • Exceptional social skills and the ability to collaborate effectively.

Company and Role Overview

With decades of experience, this UK leading business who are part of a large group, have remained at the forefront of their industry. They are currently working on a huge, long-term, high value project, which you will be part of in this role. 

The business is looking for an experienced Quality Inspector for a major, long-term project. The ideal candidate will have proven Quality Inspector, Quality Engineer, Quality Technician or Quality Control experience. 

You will be responsible for overseeing production processes, to ensure that the quality of the end product meets the required standards. You will collaborate with the Production, Finishing and Despatch departments to conduct inspections before products are despatched to site. You will ensure that any defects or improvements are identified and communicated.


Quality Inspector Salary, Hours, and Benefits

  • £31,000 - £33,000 (dependant on what hours you do)
  • 40 hours per week. There are two shifts available, days or afternoons 10:00am – 8:15pm

Quality Inspector Candidate Requirements

  • Proven Quality experience.
  • The environment is always changing, so you have to be adaptable. 
  • IT literate – an amount of time will be spent transferring data into the system.
  • A good communicator – confident enough to challenge individuals. 
  • UK Driving license as the site is not easy to get to via public transport.


Quality Inspector Key Responsibilities

  • Engage production teams in quality management processes and drive a continuous improvement culture.
  • Inspection of product at all stages of production in accordance with the Inspection Test Plan.
  • Identification of defects, non-conformance and opportunities for improvement within the production processes. Assistance in root cause analysis and corrective action activities.
  • Participate in internal and external accrediting body audits.
 

Probe Technical are looking to recruit a full time and permanent Purchasing Coordinator to join a very busy production facility near Banbury. This is a fast-paced role that needs high attention in the small team. You must be a motivated individual who will be able to direct and coordinate the purchase of a range of materials for the Company whilst ensuring that they are working in accordance with specifications, budgets and agreed quality standards.

The package details for the role of Procurement Coordinator include the below and further at interview:

  • Salary £32,000 - £35,000 depending on experience 
  • Hours: 09:00 – 17:00 Monday to Friday, 1 hour lunch, 35 hours per week
  • Pension – 3% paid via salary sacrifice, saving you tax and NI contributions
  • Annual Salary Reviews – an annual pay review is conducted every January 
  • Holiday –23 days plus Bank Holidays, rising to 25 after 5 years’ service 
  • Family friendly – Enhanced maternity, paternity and shared parental leave pay, as well as an annual family fun day 
  • Death in service benefit – 2 x annual salary

Along with 2 years Procurement experience ideally in a manufacturing environment; you will need excellent communication skills, with an ability to balance conflicting demands. Excellent time management with an ability to remain calm under pressure in an ever-changing environment.

Other key duties for the Purchasing Coordinator role involve:  

  • Analyse the daily stock requirement report spreadsheet, placing the necessary purchase orders using Suppliers/Pricing Structures set up by the Buyers whilst maintaining safety stocks and not exceeding stock parameters or warehouse capacity
  • Monitor purchase orders to ensure that materials are confirmed, delivered on time, at the agreed price, within agreed specification and comply with the company’s quality standards.
  • Maintain regular contact with suppliers to resolve any problems to meet production requirements. 
  • Maintain and update raw material ‘Goods In’ schedule for the Warehouse Department, keeping within daily and weekly delivery quotas and ensure regular communication to minimise any adverse factors that may lead to missed production schedules and transport deadlines. 
  • Work with Accounts and Buyers to resolve invoice queries. 

We would be keen to also speak to Purchasing Assistants, Procurement Coordinators and Buyers. This role is commutable from Oxford, Banbury, Northampton and Coventry.

Role Overview

This important role requires a committed individual who will gain a thorough understanding of the company products, Supply Chain and Operations. This will involve gaining knowledge of Suppliers, Products, and Global Operational activity. You will be proactive and driven to support the business units to generate growth through your pragmatic and imaginative approach.

The successful Warehouse Manager will have previous experience in a similar role with team leadership experience. Those from a Stores and Despatch background will be considered especially if gained within a manufacturing environment. You will be used to different ERP tools, capable in Excel, Word, an effective communicator, organised and agile.


Warehouse Manager Salary, Hours and Benefits

  • £41,000 (dependant on experience)
  • Hours: you are able to work 8:00am – 4:00pm or 7:00am – 3:00pm (or a mix of both), with an early finish on Friday’s

Warehouse Manager Candidate Requirements – but not limited to

  • The Warehouse Manager will have previous experience from a similar role with some leadership experience.
  • Previous experience with a manufacturing environment would be highly advantageous.
  • You will be IT literate - ERP systems experience will be at advantage.
  • Ideally you will have previously worked in a demanding warehouse environment with automated storage and enjoy a ‘hands on’ approach.
  • Hold a driving license.
  • Forklift license preferred (training can be provided).


Warehouse Manager Key Responsibilities – but not limited to

  • Responsible for leading and motivating the team to ensure all tasks are completed in a timely manner. To include, receiving goods to Stores and delivery to point of requirement according to scheduled and other demands & for Packing, Despatch and Shipping operations.
  • Ensure inbound On-Time In-Fill is maximized through prompt and accurate goods receipt. Positively influence Sales On-Time In-Fill through making available raw materials and parts, right time and right place and pulling through Sales Orders to meet customer delivery targets.
  • Effective management of stock holding ensuring optimisation of warehouse locations to support the smooth flow of materials and goods to the point of use and outbound shipment of sales orders.
  • Line management responsibility for the Warehouse team including, return to work meetings, team morale, KPI creation, performance reviews and appraisals meetings.
  • Develop strong relationships with company stakeholders globally - work effectively to support strategic customers.
