Shift the Maintenance engineer will be required to work:  Double Days – 6am till 2pm and 2pm till 10pm – Monday to Friday 

Responsibilities & Requirements: 

  • Reacting to breakdowns mechanical and electrical
  • Looking for Multi-skilled Split – Mechanically biased – Roughly 60/40 Split. 
  • Experienced with: Hydraulics & Pneumatics / Gearboxes / Conveyor systems and Lifting equipment. 
  • Electrical requirements: Fault finding abilities with Siemens and Allen Bradley PLC’s, Motors, and Drives – AC & DC – Able to read electrical and mechanical drawings. 
  • Ideally you will hold experience within a Heavy Engineering Plant – Manufacturing Plant. 
  • Keeping accurate records of activities and stores requisitions
  • Completing planned maintenance activities and installations
  • Supporting business projects when required
  • Attending meetings when required
  • Must be Apprentice trained. 
  • Ideally holding a BTEC – ONC / HNC / NVQ Leve 3 in mechanical or electrical engineering

Role Function

The Technical Support team within the company is growing to support the ever-increasing number of clients and the application driven business focus. The core purpose of the team is to provide support as the first line of technical help for Partners, Customers and the Regional Sales Managers. Through deep understanding of company products and knowledge of the applicable regional standards / regulations, the candidate will be expected to provide guidance to customers during pre-sales discussions. 

The role then focuses on the post sales elements of identifying issues and supporting technical questions through to resolution for products in the field.

Essential Candidate Requirements 

  • The Application Engineer - Industrial Automation will have proven experience in technical support, field service, or engineering roles working with safety products or in industrial automation.
  • A Degree would be ideal (Electrical or Mechanical) but isn’t essential.
  • 1-3 years of experience in technical support, field service, or engineering roles.
  • Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), human-machine interfaces (HMIs), and related automation technologies. Hands-on experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues. 
  • Strong communication skills for effectively interacting with customers, both verbally and in writing. 
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and with cross-functional departments (e.g., Design, Quality, Sales, Engineering).


Key Responsibilities

  • The Application Engineer - Industrial Automation will review customers concerns or questions, via all platforms to quickly understand their pain points and provide a suitable resolution, where a resolution is not immediately available process in line with tech support/quality procedures. 
  • Providing technical support to customers via face-to-face onsite visits, telephone, and other platforms to support pre, during and post sales. 
  • Establish best practices for technical account management and demonstrate to internal sales team to help them, resolve customers issues, support an internal process for knowledge share. 
  • Request and support required part information and documentation from required departments. 
  • Define products for a range of applications and support application replication.
  • Support creation / understand project books to drive standardization and global specifications for key customers
  • Drive key application areas to help support business growth and future product development.

Estimator Role Overview

The business is looking for an experienced Estimator / Steel Estimator / Fabrication Estimator. 

They require a candidate with a proven technical estimating background to join their close-knit team. 

The opportunity will suit candidates from a manufacturing /estimating background looking to develop within an ever-growing business. On offer is a role where you can learn and develop your technical and estimating skills and can further your career within this sector.

This role would ideally suit someone with technical estimating experience from an engineering background and some customer service skills desirable but not essential, training will be given to the right candidate.

Duties of a Maintenance Manager

  • As Maintenance Manager you will lead a multi-disciplined team of technicians to ensure each build is completed on time, within budget and that its handed over to the customer with complete satisfaction.  
  • As part of your role you will also be tasked with managing site services, driving 5S and ensuring all statutory regulations are adhered too. 

Requirements of a Maintenance Manager

Have a proven background in leading a maintenance team within a special purpose machine / machine build or lean manufacturing environment. Where you have had direct responsibility for plant performance, achieving targets, process development, mentoring staff, setting and monitoring KPI’s and managing critical projects.

  • You will ideally be qualified to a HNC standard. 
  • Hold either ILM or NEBSM accreditation. 
  • Have climbed the ranks of maintenance into a management position.
