Probe Technical are looking to recruit a full time and permanent Maintenance Electrician to join an experienced and dedicated Engineering team near Corby on a permanent night shift working Sunday to Thursday, 22.00-06.00. This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to utilise their engineering skills and join a privately owned global business. As well as being focused on continuous improvement and implementing specific products, you will also be responsible for maintaining the upkeep of the buildings and grounds areas of the plant facility.

The package details for the role of Maintenance Electrician include the below and further at interview:

  • Salary up to £48,000 depending on experience (including shift allowance)
  • 40 hours per week, Sunday to Thursday, 22.00-06.00
  • 3% paid via salary sacrifice, saving you tax and NI contributions
  • 20 days plus bank holidays, rising to 25 plus bank holidays after 5 years’ service
  • Death in service benefit – 2 x annual salary
  • You would qualify for the annual pay review this and every January

Along with a minimum NVQ Level 3 or higher in Engineering Maintenance or equivalent, as a Maintenance Electrician you will be required to have experience/further education in engineering. Experience of PLC systems for fault finding and minor programming modifications. Experience using and installing Variable Speed Drives VSD’s within an FMCG environment is beneficial. 

Other key duties involve:  

  • Maintenance of plant and equipment.
  • Identifying, diagnosing and fixing faults and breakdowns.
  • Carrying out of planned Preventative Maintenance.
  • Facilitating and executing continuous improvement activities.
