RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervise and manage a team of approximately fifteen staff
  • Drive continuous improvements
  • Oversee production schedules and ensure timely delivery of projects. 
  • Mentor and train team members on best practices and safety protocols. 
  • Maintain machine efficiency and troubleshoot issues as needed.
  • Collaborate with other supervisors to optimize production processes
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Reduction of cycle times and increase productivity
  • New product introduction, increasing product range
  • Reduction of tooling costs
  • Maintaining a high level of housekeeping

REQUIREMENTS

  • Strong Leadership and communication skills
  • Experience drawn from a CNC environment ideally
  • To have previously driven continuous improvements
  • This would suit someone who is truly motivated to make an impact
  • Previous experience of supervising Operators and Setters
  • This would suit an experienced Man-Manager, or someone who is looking to step up
  • To be able to work efficiently within a fast-paced environment
  • Happy to work morning shift
  • Flexible to cover shifts if needed

Duties of a Maintenance Manager:

  • As Maintenance Manager you will be responsible for an established team of maintenance engineers who undertake both planned and reactive maintenance tasks to our specialist plant and equipment.
  • You will be required to manage plant breakdown situations, planned maintenance activity, onsite contractors, critical spares and plan capex plant related projects. Whilst also mentoring apprentices, issuing permits and managing statutory inspections. 


Requirements of a Maintenance Manager:

  • You must be qualified mechanically, ideally to an HND standard having gained your experience of managing a maintenance team within a heavy engineering environment such as oil refineries, recycling, power generation, chemical processing, quarrying or steel processing.
