Duties of a Senior Instrumentation Technician:

  • Working days, as a Senior Instrumentation Technician you will be required to undertake instrumentation projects from concept through to final commissioning. Working with a wide range of pressure, temperature, flow metering instruments and safety systems throughout our plant. 
  • Alongside your instrumentation technician skills you will also be required to work with CAD in creating and modifying P&ID drawings.

Requirements of a Senior Instrumentation Technician:

  • You must have gained your instrumentation technician experience within a process oriented environment, be apprentice trained and qualified ideally to an HND standard.

Probe Technical are looking to recruit a full time and permanent Machine Shop Foreman to join a recognised world leader in their Manufacturing facility. We are looking for a dynamic person who has good engineering background to work in a friendly environment as part of a small team, excellent working conditions and stable permanent employment.

The package details for the role of Machine Shop Foreman includes:

  • Salary £30,000 - £35,000 depending on experience 
  • 8 Hour days Monday – Friday 8am – 4pm.

The successful applicant for the Machine Shop Foreman role must be able to read Engineering Drawings, work to precision tolerances, this position is a very hands-on role. Some duties include: 

  • Appropriate experience/qualifications
  • Machining CNC milling/lather experience on medium large components is required ideally using XYZ machine tools, although training can be offered. Other CNC interfaces will be considered. 
  • Organising workflow and ensuring work is completed promptly
  • Helping manage daily operations, and making important decisions such as managing resources, workflows, and quality control to ensure that products are manufactured to the highest standards.
  • Experience of fabrication/fitting would be an advantage.

The role of Machine Shop Foreman is commutable from Lichfield, Tamworth, Burton on Trent and Cannock surrounding areas.

Probe Technical are looking to recruit a full time and permanent Maintenance Engineer for a specialist and unique heavy environment. We are looking for a Reactive Maintenance Engineer, to join the Engineering team at the recycling facility in Grantham. The role would suit someone who would thrive in a diverse and challenging work environment. This position would suit an Engineer able to be part of projects, overhauling and adapting machinery, alongside reactive and planned preventive maintenance.

The package details for the role of Maintenance Engineer includes:

  • 12-hour shifts on a rotating shift pattern of 3 in, 4 off, 4 in, 3 off. Hours are 06:00-18:00 & 18:00-06:00.

  • Apprentice trained
  • Experience in an extrusion or mould shop environment, or pressings is happily considered
  • CNC knowledge would be helpful, though not essential
  • Happy to work 12-hour DAY shift pattern
