Estimator Role Overview

The business is looking for an experienced Estimator / Steel Estimator / Fabrication Estimator. 

They require a candidate with a proven technical estimating background to join their close-knit team. 

The opportunity will suit candidates from a manufacturing /estimating background looking to develop within an ever-growing business. On offer is a role where you can learn and develop your technical and estimating skills and can further your career within this sector.

This role would ideally suit someone with technical estimating experience from an engineering background and some customer service skills desirable but not essential, training will be given to the right candidate.

Candidate Requirements

  • The Estimator will ideally have exposure to engineering, steel / fabrication manufacturing.
  • A level of AutoCAD experience / ability to read drawings would be a big advantage.

  • The Estimator will establish customer requirements from CAD drawing and documents.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Set-Up & Operation: Operate CNC milling machines if you have the experience
  • Toolmaking: Manufacture, maintain, and repair tools, jigs, and fixtures.
  • Quality Control: Perform rigorous inspections to ensure components meet exact specifications.
  • Working with Engineering drawings
  • Use of standard milling machines, grinding and use of conventional Toolroom equipment.

REQUIREMENTS 

  • Experience: Knowledge in a toolmaking/CNC milling role.

  • Knowledge: Use of CNC machining processes, beneficial but not essential
  • Attention to Detail: High level of precision and attention to detail.

Role Overview

  • The Production Engineer / Manufacturing Engineer will report to the Engineering Manager - the role is to support, grow and continuously improve the manufacture of world class products. 
  • You will be a critical part of a team in developing new methods of manufacture for machining of internal components to drawings specifications. 
  • The Production Engineer will be required to work closely with the Engineering, Quality and Manufacturing teams to influence the design for manufacture on existing products and NPI. 
  • Key elements for the role will be NPI, customer liaison for NPI to include APQP, PPAP activities. 
  • Knowledge of designing jigs & fixtures, tooling, create work instructions, improve product flow is essential.

Production Engineer Salary and Hours

  • £36,000 – 40,000
  • Working hours 7.30am – 4.30pm Monday – Thursday & 7.30am – 12.30pm Friday.

Essential Candidate Requirements

  • A proven track record within a Production Engineer or / Manufacturing Engineer role.
  • Strong knowledge of machining techniques, working with manual & CNC machine tools - specifically CNC Turning (knowledge of Mazak controls is desirable but isn’t essential).
  • A good knowledge of castings & cutting tools.
  • Able to work under own initiative, and as part of a team.

Other Useful Experience

(some of the below would also be nice, not all are required)

  • Experience of time measurement and analysis of lost time.
  • Communicating and presenting data effectively.
  • Familiar with Quality Systems / PPAP & Environmental Issues.
  • Experience implementing Lean improvements.
  • Experience in mid / low volume assemblies.
  • Ability to pick up a project from cradle to grave hitting pre-determined timelines

Role Overview

The business is looking to recruit a Senior Electronics Engineer to support the continuing growth of their design department.  The role will involve providing technical guidance to other members of the Electronics Design team, working alongside other engineering disciplines, designing hardware and embedded software to extend the businesses product range.


Candidate Requirements

  • You will have a depth of experience of full product lifecycle.
  • The Senior Electronics Engineer will hold a degree or similar qualification in Electronics Engineering or a comparable subject.
  • Proven experience in embedded firmware design, development, and testing, along with, firmware unit, integration, and system testing.
  • Solid experience in electronics hardware design, development, and testing; including PCB schematic design and layout.
  • The Senior Electronics Engineer will have EMC design and test experience.
  • New product development, and design validation process – FMEA, DFM.  
  • Creation of supporting design documentation, development reports, BoM, build packs.
  • Experience of electronics design within a highly regulated industry, with experience of working with third party approval/certification bodies.
  • Experience in architecture design and architecture design tools, with a familiarity of machinery safety standards or similar.


Key Responsibilities 

  • The Senior Electronics Engineer will be a lead electronics resource for the business.  
  • Identify areas of improvement and assist implementing new processes.
  • Design and maintenance of hardware and embedded software for use within company products.
  • Assessment and documentation of products against specifications and standards.
