Environmental Specialist Responsibilities:

  • Identify new opportunities to improve the environmental management system
  • Provide guidance and support on environmental legislation
  • Manage environmental management program and the environmental management system
  • Minimise waste
  • Responsibility for ISO 14001 Environmental Management system and surveillance audits
  • Lead Auditor for 45001 and 9001
  • Development of the environmental strategy and environmental performance

  • Manage on-site environment permit

Environmental Specialist Requirements:

  • A Degree in Environmental management  / Chemical engineering 
  • Working knowledge of key environmental legislation
  • Auditing knowledge
  • Exposure to ISO14001 
  • Any knowledge of ISO 5001 would be desirable but not essential
  • Highly beneficial that you have experience within manufacturing, ideally oil, gas or / and chemicals

Health & Safety Manager Responsibilties:

  • Accident and incident investigation
  • Resolve non-conformance.
  • Keep uptodate with legislation and industry best practice.
  • Organise all required H & S training. 
  • Develop, implement, and manage regulations under the Health and Safety at work Act 1974 safety programs (Confined space entry, LOTO, Safe Isolation of Plant, Hazard communication, Emergency response and Fall protection

We are looking for an Ambitious forward-thinking individual who holds desire to make continuous changes to carry the business forward.

Duties:

  • Assist with both Electrical / Mechanical Maintenance requirements throughout the site.
  • Interrogation of SCADA systems
  • Installation of Plant and equipment on site
  • Calibration of Instrumentation
  • Utilise Maintenance Management systems. – Shire experience would be at advantage
  • Identify and action process and plant improvements.
  • Maintain a Good Engineering practise.

Requirements:

  • Must Be apprentice trained – holding ONC /HNC or City & Guilds.
  • 17th / 18th Edition to be held.  
  • Proven experience within an Electrical Instrumentation Role
  • Experience with SCADA Systems
  • Experience with the calibration of Instrumentation – Pressure and Temperature.
  • Strong fault-finding abilities with Siemens PLC
  • Ideally experience within a Chemical / ATEX Plant
