Duties of a Maintenance Technician:

As a Permanent Night Shift Maintenance Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the ongoing operational efficiency and reliability of our facilities and equipment. This is a hands on position that requires a solid foundation in both electrical and mechanical maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular maintenance, inspections, and repairs on machinery, equipment, and facilities.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical and mechanical issues to determine appropriate solutions.
  • Collaborate with the night shift team to address urgent maintenance requirements and minimise downtime.
  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks to ensure optimal functionality and extend the lifespan of equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work done, parts used, and time spent.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and company standards at all times.

Requirements of a Maintenance Technician    

  • Electrical and / or mechanical qualifications to City & Guilds or NVQ standard
  • Completion of a recognised apprenticeship programme.
  • Proven experience in electrical and mechanical maintenance.
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and independently.
  • Effective communication skills to report maintenance updates.
