Shift requirements in place for the Maintenance electrician:

Key Responsibilities 

  • Previous experience within a Manufacturing environment. 
  • Dealing on both Maintenance and Facilities. 
  • Apprentice trained holding a HNC / City& Guilds in Electrical engineering / 17th – 18th Edition. 
  • Ability to fault find on various electrical controls systems at both single and three phase.
  • Strong fault-finding abilities on PLC’s. 
  • Good understanding of health, safety, and environmental requirements specific to plant maintenance
  • Ability to conduct electrical installation work. 
  • Good understanding of Facilities & Maintenance processes and production critical equipment
  • Can demonstrate good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to work in a team environment or on own
  • Qualified to conduct work to BS 7671 wiring regulations.

This position would be perfect but not essential for an electrically bias maintenance engineer who has experience within a food manufacturing environment. My client boasts great attrition rates and are keen on training and developing their engineer’s skills.

Contract Instrumentation Technician – Required for an Immediate Start

Duties of a Contract Instrumentation Technician 

  • As a Contract Instrumentation Technician, you will be required to support our team of instrumentation technicians who calibrate and maintain our wide range of instrumentation equipment that is utilised in the monitoring of pressure, flow, temperature and Ph values. 
  • The role is hands on but will require you to have experience of supporting junior technicians, maintaining equipment registers and planning projects from conception to final hand over. 


Requirements of a Contract Instrumentation Technician

  • Ideally you will have gained your Instrumentation experience of supporting instruments within a heavy engineering or process environment and must have some experience of supporting staff. 
  • You ideally you will be apprentice trained, however must qualified to a City & Guilds Part C / NVQ 3 standard within either pure Instrumentation or E&I disciplines.

  • Experience with: Hydraulics & Pneumatics, Conveyor systems, Sewing equipment. 
  • Welding abilities: MIG / TIG / ARC 
  • Able to read Engineering Drawings. 
  • Hands-on experience with textile machinery and sewing equipment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work double days and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Apprentice trained – holding a Level 3 – City & Guilds / NVQ in Electrical engineering
