Role Overview
The Production Engineer / Manufacturing Engineer will report to the Engineering Manager - the role is to support, grow and continuously improve the manufacture of world class products.
You will be a critical part of a team in developing new methods of manufacture for machining of internal components to drawings specifications.
The Production Engineer will be required to work closely with the Engineering, Quality and Manufacturing teams to influence the design for manufacture on existing products and NPI.
Key elements for the role will be NPI, customer liaison for NPI to include APQP, PPAP activities.
Knowledge of designing jigs & fixtures, tooling, create work instructions, improve product flow is essential.
A proven track record within a Production Engineer or / Manufacturing Engineer role.
Strong knowledge of machining techniques, working with manual & CNC machine tools - specifically CNC Turning (knowledge of Mazak controls is desirable but isn’t essential).
A good knowledge of castings & cutting tools.
Able to work under own initiative, and as part of a team.
