JUNIOR MAINTENANCE ENGINEER

We are a well respected employer within the engineering sector and are seeking to recruit junior maintenance engineer to join day shift team.

If you are currently in an operator role and have some basic maintenance experience and are keen to develop these skills further (with our support) the role will see you progress into a full time maintenance post.

Duties of a Junior Maintenance Engineer  

As a proven Engineer you will be required to operate our equipment, allied to undertaking both planned and basic reactive maintenance tasks that will require you to hold good multi skilled abilities linked to both hydraulic and pneumatic skills.

Requirements of a Junior Maintenance Engineer 

Ideally you will be apprentice trained and hold formal electrical or mechanical qualifications to a City & Guilds or NVQ standard, having gained your operating and maintenance experience within a fast moving manufacturing or production environment, however we are keen to offer you support to continue to develop your maintenance skills. 

The role is commutable from Aldridge, Brownhills, Cheslyn Hay, Great Wyrley, Hednesford, Lichfield, Shenstone & Tamworth

RESPONSIBILITIES for PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER

  • Design and develop high-quality products using CAD software, primarily Autodesk Inventor
  • Produce accurate technical drawings and specifications to guide manufacturing processes
  • Collaborate closely with production and engineering teams to ensure designs are practical, cost-effective, and aligned with our quality standards
  • Uphold the integrity of our design and development work

REQUIREMENTS for PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER

  • Proficiency in 3D CAD software (Autodesk Inventor preferred).
  • Ideally, an understanding of metals, fabrication techniques, and machining processes.
  • Expertise in Autodesk Inventor and familiarity with Autodesk Vault preferred but experience with other CAD systems will be considered
  • Background in shop floor machining or hands-on manufacturing environments.
  • Experience producing BOMs (Bills of Materials) and technical documentation for manufacturing.
  • A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.

Role and Company Overview

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced CNC Machinist to join a bespoke and successful engineering business. A global supplier with several decades of experience, this is one of their most exciting periods, with an increase in demand for their product leading to growth and investment onsite.

The CNC Machinist role is a newly created position, you will be a key part of the current team.


CNC Machinist Salary and Benefits

  • £30,000 - £32,000
  • 37.5 Hours per week, 8:00am – 4:00pm Monday to Friday
  • Paid overtime

CNC Machinist Candidate Requirements 

  • The CNC Machinist will have experience of XYZ Lathe and Bed Mills
  • Exposure to ProtoTRAK control experience would be useful, but training could be provided if needed
  • Experience in manual turning, milling & drilling would be an advantage
  • Any experience with CMM would be an advantage
  • Haas operation experience would be a significant advantage
