We are offering an exceptional opportunity for a CHEMIST

Commutable from: Manchester, Blackburn, Standish, Ramsbottom, Skelmersdale, St Helen’s, Warrington, Bolton, Ormskirk, Chorley.

Benefits:

  • £12.50 per hour 
  • Hours: Monday – Friday 8am – 4.30pm
  • Salary: 8.5 hrs per day x 5 = 42.5 days per week (40 hour contract)
  • 8hrs x 5 days = 40 hours - £12.50 per hour x 40 x 52 = £26,000 The 2.5 hours additional will be at the overtime rate. £18.75 x 2.5 p/w = £46.88 x 52 = £243

Chemist Responsibilities:

  • Day to day batch manufacture 
  • Conduct experimental work
  • Preparation of lab samples
  • Test raw materials
  • Test and evaluate competitors products
  • Calibration of equipment
  • Prepare samples for dispatch
  • Happy to work days

Chemist Requirements:

  • BTEC / HNC Chemistry or equivalent
  • To have the ability to follow chemistry testing techniques
  • Ideally, you will have worked in a busy lab previously
  • Good knowledge of sampling and product testing
  • Strond understanding of chemical processes

Project Manager Salary and Benefits

  • £45,000 - £48,000
  • Plus company car or car allowance (£500 per month)
  • 37.5 hours, Monday to Thursday 7:30am – 4:15pm, 12pm on Friday’s
  • 25 days holiday, plus bank holidays
  • Early finish Friday’s

The Role

  • The purpose of this role is to manage and coordinate projects and timetables within the company, to ensure all objectives are met, safely within timescale and budget.
  • It would be advantageous if the Project Manager had good working knowledge of electrical and civil engineering.
  • Some of the project work could be for export and therefore may include overseas visits.

Project Manager Person Specification

  • Previous experience in Project / Contract Construction Managing is essential.
  • Educated to HNC or equivalent desirable.
  • Health and Safety qualifications and Knowledge of Risk Assessments and method statements - highly desirable.
  • Current CSCS card holder, i.e. Site Manager would be advantageous.
  • SMSTS card – preferable.
  • London Underground / Network Rail knowledge / previous working experience would be highly advantageous.
  • Must possess excellent organisation and communication skills at all levels.
  • Candidates must hold a full UK Driving Licence.

Project Manager Key Responsibilities

  • Preparation and monitoring of project programming, on site start up, delivery, method statements, risk assessments, completion, testing, O & M manuals, will be responsible for a profit margin on each project.
  • Contact with Sub-Contractors to define and implement plans and projects.
  • Site visits as and when necessary to ensure objectives are being met by others.
  • To monitor, report and update on projects throughout their progress.
