Supply Chain & Procurement Manager Pay, Hours and Benefits

  • £55,000 - £60,000 (possibly flexible for the right candidate)  
  • 37.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday
  • 23 days holiday plus bank holidays

Supply Chain & Procurement Manager Role Overview

The business is looking for an experienced Supply Chain & Procurement Manager with proven MRP experience of Dynamics 365.

This is a pivotal role, responsible for driving efficiencies in purchasing, production planning and inventory management while ensuring the business maintains the highest standards in their manufacturing operations.


Supply Chain & Procurement Manager Candidate Requirements

  • 4–5 years' experience in supply chain and procurement management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing ERP/MRP systems to drive production efficiency.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management principles, reviewing and simplifying BoM Structure, and item parameter optimisation.
  • Competence in data analysis and translating insights into actionable strategies.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills with the ability to anticipate challenges and implement effective solutions.
  • Proven ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
  • Demonstrated experience in identifying and executing improvement opportunities in supply chain and procurement.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.


Supply Chain & Procurement Manager Key Responsibilities (but not limited to)

ERP-Driven MRP Management: 

  • Managing and optimising the ERP-based MRP system (Dynamics 365 Business Central). 
  • Conducting item parameter reviews and Bill of Materials management. 
  • Supporting planning and scheduling activities. 

Cost Management & Supplier Efficiency:

  • Identifying and delivering inbound cost-saving initiatives, focusing on improving supplier performance and negotiating favourable terms. 
  • Collaborating with suppliers to streamline purchasing, goods-in processes and inventory management. 

Continuous Improvement:

  • Leading efforts to identify and implement process improvements across supply chain and procurement functions. 
  • Championing lean methodologies to enhance operational efficiency and reduce waste. 

Inventory Optimisation: 

  • Monitoring stock levels and working closely with production teams to maintain optimal inventory. 
  • Implementing strategies to minimise excess stock while safeguarding against shortages. 

Cross-Functional Collaboration: 

  • Working closely with production, quality and logistics teams to ensure smooth operations. 
  • Influencing key stakeholders and fostering a culture of collaboration and improvement.

Quality Inspector Candidate Requirements

  • Proven Quality experience.
  • The environment is always changing, so you have to be adaptable. 
  • IT literate – an amount of time will be spent transferring data into the system.
  • A good communicator – confident enough to challenge individuals. 
  • UK Driving license as the site is not easy to get to via public transport.


Quality Inspector Key Responsibilities

  • Engage production teams in quality management processes and drive a continuous improvement culture.
  • Inspection of product at all stages of production in accordance with the Inspection Test Plan.
  • Identification of defects, non-conformance and opportunities for improvement within the production processes. Assistance in root cause analysis and corrective action activities.
  • Participate in internal and external accrediting body audits.

Lifting Supervisor Key Responsibilities

  • Create method statements and safe systems of work for required lifting operations.
  • Regularly review and update lifting plans.
  • Manage and monitor crane stability, duty charts and safety devices.
  • Plan and execute all mobile crane contract lifts onsite.
  • Undertake routine checks on lifting equipment in line with LOLER regulations.
  • Manage and monitor daily workload and priorities for a team of Slingers, Signallers, Bankspeople and crane operators.
  • Lead the daily operational briefing.
  • Supervise working areas and makes sure any changes are addressed through revised risk assessments.
  • Carry out competence-based workplace assessments for OHC Operators, Slingers, Signallers and Bankspeople.
  • Prepare exclusion zones.


Lifting Supervisor Other Responsibilities
