MAINTENANCE ELECTRICIAN

We have a fantastic opportunity for a qualified Maintenance electrician to join a Manufacturing Specialist within the Greater Manchester Area, are you looking to join a well-established company, a company who Design and manufacture and are a leading UK Organisation.

Shift the maintenance electrician will be required to work: 8am till 4:30pm 

The maintenance electrician role is commutable from: Warrington / Preston / Bolton / Wigan 

Benefits the Maintenance electrician will receive:

  • Salary: £45,931.00
  • 23+8days holiday

Ideally the Maintenance Electrician will hold the following: 

  • Previous experience within an ATEX Chemical or Process type industry 
  • COMAH experience would be at an advantage. 
  • Reactive maintenance 
  • Trouble shooting 
  • Planned preventative maintenance. 
  • Electrical infrastructure systems i.e., Single and 3 phase systems 
  • Instrumentation experience 
  • There is also preventative maintenance work which typically includes testing of alarms, electrical equipment emergency lighting, earth testing etc
  • The type of work typically would be isolation of motors and electrical equipment to accommodate repairs/replacement by the fitting team as and when required to react to breakdowns. 

Qualifications Required:

  • Ideally, we are looking for an Apprentice trained engineer. 
  • Holding a City & Guilds 2391 in testing & inspection. 
  • 18th Edition IEE Wiring regulations 
  • CompEx certificate 
  • Valid JIB Card 
  • IOSH Managing Safely

  • We are looking for a highly motivated individual who is used to work within a heavy engineering environment. 
  • Time served – mechanical engineer. 
  • At least 2-3 years’ experience within Quality control 


Key Duties for the Quality Inspector: 

  • Maintain all controlled document files and test records. 
  • Perform Inspections of purchased parts. 
  • Monitor Equipment & Instrumentation to ensure operation and calibration 
  • Support the Writing and updating of inspection procedures 
  • Attending meetings to provide reports and update with the general manager / Senior Quality engineer. 
  • Work or reject subassemblies or finish products as required. 
  • Be responsible for enforcing safety and quality on site.

The CNC Turners roles are commutable from the following locations: Blackburn / Burnley / Preston.

The CNC Turners will be required to work the following Shifts:  

The company run either Days or Nights.  Rates are below for both Shifts. The option to work Days or Nights. 

  • The day shift – Monday to Thursday 7:30am till 4:15pm – Friday 7:30am till 12:30. 
  • Nights: Monday to Thursday 10pm till 7:30am  

Benefits the CNC Turners will receive: 

  • Salary:  Day Rate: £15.28 working a 38hr week.   Annual Rate: £30,193.28 
  • Nights: £15.28 + £4.53 per hour = £19.81. Annual Rate £39,144.56 Pension Contribution matched at 5.5% = 11%
  • 32days holiday

Key Requirements for the CNC Turners: 

  • Carry out machining of components
  • Set up tools and load materials on to CNC Machines 
  • Manually handle Weights up to 25kg 
  • Complete quality documents 
  • Use inspection equipment to ensure components are manufactured to drawings. 
  • Contribute to continuous improvements 
  • Read Engineering Drawings 
  • Use computer equipment for date purposes.  
 

WAREHOUSE OPERATOR - DAYS

The Warehouse Operator is responsible for the day-to-day handling of goods, including inwards movement, despatch, labelling, and transport. This role involves preparing orders and ensuring compliance with company standards in a professional manner that upholds the company’s reputation.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare customer orders, including quality certificates, safety information, and labelling.
  • Verify product conformity certificates before despatch.
  • Maintain and update material movement records and internal stock systems.
  • Conduct all activities in line with company policies for health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
  • Report deviations or incidents in writing using the appropriate reporting system.
  • Safely off-load road tankers to IBCs and manage the loading of return drums to specific suppliers.
  • Accurately identify and allocate incoming raw materials, ensuring stock rotation.
  • Identify raw material deficiencies from picking lists and notify the Purchasing or Technical/Commercial Manager.
  • Check returned raw materials from production and return them to stock.
  • Maintain the warehouse and surrounding compound in a clean and safe condition.
  • Ensure all required records and documentation are retained and kept up-to-date.
  • Sample products for quality control, research and development, and sales orders.
  • Request batch sheets for testing and re-batching purposes.
  • Apply supply, transport, and other required labels before despatch.
  • Ensure accurate and timely despatch of materials to meet customer requirements.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Happy to work DAYS
  • Fork Lift Truck Licence
  • Relevant Warehouse Operative experience
  • Ideally gained within a manufacturing environment
